To ensure your XPEL Paint Protection Film and Ceramic Coating warranties remain valid, proper care and maintenance are essential. Following these guidelines will keep your vehicle looking pristine and your protection performing as intended.
Wait Time After Installation:
Avoid washing the vehicle for 7 days to allow adhesives or coatings to fully cure.
Hand Wash Only:
Use a pH-neutral car shampoo and a clean microfiber wash mitt.
Drying:
Use a soft microfiber drying towel or a blower to prevent water spots.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals:
Do not use abrasive polishes, strong degreasers, or automatic car washes with brushes.
Spot Cleaning:
Remove bird droppings, bug splatter, and tree sap promptly to prevent etching.
No Pressure Washing at Edges:
Keep pressure washer tips at least 3 feet away from PPF edges to avoid lifting.
We recommend an annual inspection to ensure your film or coating is performing properly. As an XPEL-certified shop, we can reapply topcoat sealants, remove contaminants, and address any warranty claims on your behalf.
Your XPEL warranty is designed to protect your investment, but certain conditions and actions can void coverage. To make sure you stay protected, avoid the following.
